As UDL Initiative Coordinator, Janet Gronneberg supports CAST’s development and communications teams in growing and sustaining national efforts to implement Universal Design for Learning. Major responsibilities include: support for UDL outreach including research, writing, and event coordination; web writing and editing; proposal writing; development report coordination and writing; prospect research; and database management.

Before joining CAST in 2007, Ms. Gronneberg was a research and writing tutor for struggling post-secondary students at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. In addition to her tutoring, she initiated and taught workshops for students on speaking skills and the effective use of graphics. Prior to her tutoring at Endicott, she worked as a reading and math coach in the Boxford Elementary Schools.

Ms. Gronneberg also has experience in the private sector working for the management consulting firm, Bain & Company in Boston for ten years in various positions of increasing responsibility within the corporate training and development group.

She holds a BA in American Studies from Colby College and a Master's in Education, with a specialty in Organizational Management, from Endicott College School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
